Naju-si Recruiting Members for 'Citizen Orchestra' Until the 31st
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 19th that it is recruiting members for the "Citizen Orchestra Performance Project" to expand the base of citizens' cultural life until the 31st.
The Citizen Orchestra Performance Project has been promoted for the past two years, supported by being selected for the Living Culture Content Revitalization Contest of the Bangbanggokgok Cultural Sympathy Project hosted by the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association in 2019.
Also, through the voluntary participation of citizens interested in playing instruments and music, it has delivered messages of emotion, healing, communication, and harmony through a total of four regular performances until last year, raising the cultural happiness index of citizens.
The recruitment fields are players who own instruments capable of orchestra ensemble such as violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, and brass instruments (adults only).
Applications can be submitted by sending the application form and instrument performance video posted on the city hall website notice board to the person in charge's email.
The successful candidates will be announced on the website on the 8th of next month, and the members are scheduled to perform on stage for regular rehearsals every Saturday and two regular performances.

An official from the city said, "We are looking for the protagonists of the citizen orchestra who will gift happiness and healing with beautiful melodies to citizens tired of daily life due to COVID-19," adding, "We will do our best to create a cultural happiness city where culture becomes daily life and to promote cultural policies that citizens can feel."
