Yuhan Corporation Appoints Vice President Jo Wook-je as New CEO and President
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] Jo Wook-je, Vice President of Yuhan Corporation, has been appointed as the new CEO.
On the 19th, Yuhan Corporation held the 98th regular general shareholders' meeting at the auditorium of its headquarters in Daebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, and appointed Jo as the new CEO.
Born in 1955, Jo joined Yuhan Corporation in 1987 and has served as hospital branch manager, head of prescription drug (ETC) sales, marketing director, head of the pharmaceutical business division, and head of management division, before being appointed vice president in March 2017.
Jo stated, "I will do my best to focus all our capabilities together with the executives and employees to develop the company into one with global competitiveness."
Lee Jung-hee, who became CEO in 2015, was appointed as an inside non-executive director.

On the same day, Yuhan Corporation decided in the agenda review to pay a cash dividend of 400 KRW per common share and 410 KRW per preferred share, totaling approximately 24.9 billion KRW.
