Jeonnam Provincial Institute of Health and Environment Conducts Odor Management Area Survey
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Provincial Institute of Health and Environment (Director Park Jongsu) announced on the 19th that it will conduct a survey on the status of odor management areas within the province.
This survey was promoted to prevent damage caused by odors and to create a pleasant living environment.
The province designates areas where odor complaints occur collectively and where odor pollution is severe and requires regulation as odor management areas, conducting regular status surveys.
Currently, three locations in Yeosu are designated and managed: Yeosu National Industrial Complex, Samil Resource Storage Industrial Complex, and Hwayang Agricultural and Industrial Complex.
The survey is divided into air quality and odor-emitting business site investigations.
The air quality survey selects a total of 16 points within the odor management areas and collects odor substances at dawn, daytime, and nighttime to analyze complex odors and 22 designated odor substances.
For odor-emitting business sites, 28 business sites within the management areas are selected, and odor substances are analyzed at emission outlets and site boundaries.
