[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Bang Jun-hyuk, chairman of Netmarble and Coway, received an annual salary of 2.366 billion KRW last year.
According to the business report disclosed by Netmarble on the 18th, Bang, the founder of Netmarble, received a salary of 1.38 billion KRW, a bonus of 978 million KRW, and other labor income of 8 million KRW last year.
The company explained, "The salary comprehensively reflects position, leadership, and expertise," and "the bonus was paid based on a comprehensive judgment of financial performance, growth rate, and achievement of strategic tasks." In particular, Netmarble evaluated that Chairman Bang led growth compared to the previous year and created new growth foundations and global market expansion last year.
Netmarble CEO Kwon Young-sik exercised stock options worth around 3.5 billion KRW and received a total compensation of 4.418 billion KRW, which was more than Chairman Bang. CEO Kwon received 3.561 billion KRW from exercising stock options, and received a salary of 530 million KRW and a bonus of 310 million KRW.
CEO Kwon and co-CEO Lee Seung-won each received 1.979 billion KRW last year. CEO Lee received a salary of 412 million KRW, a bonus of 124 million KRW, and exercised stock options worth 1.425 billion KRW.
