View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Dae-hyun) opened the 270th extraordinary session, the first session of this year, on the 17th and began a 15-day agenda until the 31st.
According to the Muan County Council on the 18th, during this extraordinary session, a total of 22 agenda items will be reviewed, including the 1st supplementary budget for 2021, the “Ordinance on the Protection and Support of Essential Workers in Muan County,” 16 other ordinances, and various consent items.
The council convened the 1st plenary session, resolved the agenda on the session period and the formation of the Budget and Accounts Special Committee (Chairman: Councilor Park Seong-jae, Secretary: Councilor Lee Jeong-woon), and then listened to the proposal explanation regarding the 1st supplementary budget.
The supplementary budget submitted by the executive branch to the council amounts to 645 billion KRW (12.21%) more than the original budget of 592.1 billion KRW, totaling 593.6 billion KRW.
Looking at the main agenda schedule, the council plans to conduct preliminary reviews of ordinances and the supplementary budget by standing committees from the 18th to the 25th, and then hold the Budget and Accounts Special Committee from the 26th to the 30th to conduct a comprehensive review of the supplementary budget.
On the last day of the session, the 31st, the 2nd plenary session will be held to make the final decisions on the agenda items reviewed by the standing committees and the Budget and Accounts Special Committee, thereby concluding this extraordinary session.
