White House: "Biden Briefed on Atlanta Shooting"... FBI Joins Investigation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Bo-ryeong] U.S. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the incident in Atlanta, Georgia, where a series of shootings resulted in the deaths of eight people, including four Korean Americans, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has joined the investigation in earnest.
According to foreign media on the 17th (local time), White House spokesperson Jen Psaki stated in a press release, "The President was briefed overnight on the horrific shooting that occurred in Atlanta," adding, "The White House has been in contact with the Atlanta mayor's office and will continue to coordinate with the FBI."
Atlanta local WSB-TV, an affiliate of ABC News, also reported that the FBI has begun its investigation.
The previous day in Atlanta, a shooting occurred in an area densely populated by Korean Americans, resulting in eight deaths and one injury.

The suspect in this case, 20-year-old white male Robert Aaron Long, was arrested by the police.
