Jinju City Launches COVID-19 Preemptive Testing Campaign to Protect the Health of Neighbors and Families

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 17th that it conducted a ‘COVID-19 Preemptive Testing Encouragement Campaign’ at two major locations in each eup, myeon, and dong area during commuting hours on the 17th, in response to the recent spread of COVID-19 cluster infections in the region.
This campaign will be carried out from the 17th to the 31st, led mainly by volunteer groups from 30 eup, myeon, and dong areas, with a maximum of four people per location, adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Along with the campaign, the city is emphasizing the importance of preemptive testing through various media such as SNS and broadcast subtitles. Volunteers attending the event actively promoted to citizens, saying, “If you have a fever or cough symptoms, getting a COVID-19 preemptive test can break the chain of local infections, so please pay special attention.”
