Gokseong-gun, Recruiting 30 New Students for Premium Agricultural College Horticulture Specialist Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gokseong County (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting new students for the 11th Gokseong Premium Agricultural University Facility Horticulture Specialist Class.
This year, the Gokseong Premium Agricultural University Facility Horticulture Specialist Class will be held a total of 24 times for 108 hours from next month until November.
The education will focus on melons, strawberries, and facility potatoes, which are major facility crops in Gokseong County.
Anyone interested in the local community can apply for the education. In addition, prospective farmers who are not yet residents of the county will be selected as education candidates through a separate interview.
A total of 30 people will be selected, and after document screening, successful candidates will be individually notified by text message on the 29th.
Applicants wishing to enroll must submit the application form along with related documents to the Gokseong County Agricultural Technology Center or the Eup/Myeon Industry Team by the 26th.
The application form is posted on the websites of Gokseong County or the Agricultural Technology Center.

A representative of the Gokseong County Agricultural Technology Center said, “Through the Gokseong Premium Agricultural University, we will help improve the quality of our county’s specialized crops. Although the education courses and number of participants have been reduced due to COVID-19, we will enhance education satisfaction through various methods such as on-site training.”
