Gwangju Bank Awarded for Contributions to Promoting Cleanliness Culture
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Gwangju Bank announced on the 17th that it received a commendation from Dong-gu Office of Gwangju City on the 15th for actively participating in the spread of a cleanliness culture through the initiative ‘Making Dong-gu Free of Trash.’
Last year, Dong-gu, Gwangju City, declared the inaugural year of ‘Making Dong-gu Free of Trash’ and carried out environmental volunteer activities under the ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone’ campaign. They promoted cleanliness movement agreements with various institutions and organizations within the district, designated clean zones, and practiced responsibilities such as cleaning duties and creating alley gardens.
In response, Gwangju Bank signed a business agreement with Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City for the ‘One Institution·Organization, One Clean Zone’ campaign, designating clean zones at 13 branches in the Dong-gu area including the Gwangju Bank headquarters, pledging to actively address local household waste issues and the seriousness of environmental pollution.
