The Electric Facility Improvement Project is a program aimed at improving outdated electrical facilities for vulnerable groups prone to safety accidents.
Until last year, a total of 46,528 households' electrical facilities were safely inspected and improved.
Starting this year, the project scope has been expanded to include small welfare facilities such as group homes for the disabled, owner-occupied houses, as well as monthly rental households and tenants of rental housing, targeting 2,272 households.
Along with facility improvements, the province plans to promote electrical safety guidelines such as checking the operation of circuit breakers and preemptively shutting off distribution box switches in case of disasters like flooding.
