Com2uS Invests 45 Billion KRW in Wysiwyg Studios, CG Producer of 'Seungriho'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Com2uS has invested 45 billion KRW in the comprehensive content production company 'WYSIWYG Studio.'
On the 17th, Com2uS announced that it participated in the third-party allotment paid-in capital increase of 'WYSIWYG Studio' and acquired 5 million common shares. After the capital increase is completed, it will secure a 13.7% stake.
WYSIWYG Studio is a content production company that produces domestic and international movies and dramas based on CG (computer graphics) and VFX (visual effects) technology. Recently, it participated in the CG and VFX work of 'Seungriho' (Space Sweepers), which was released on Netflix and ranked number one in movies worldwide, gaining great popularity.
Through this strategic investment, Com2uS expects active synergy in various aspects such as content and technology between the two companies in the future.
A Com2uS official said, "WYSIWYG Studio is a company with high growth potential based on excellent technology expanding recently into the metaverse field, a broad business spectrum, and strong intellectual property (IP) power," adding, "Through organic collaboration with Com2uS's game production technology and global business capabilities, its value will be recognized in the global market as well."
