Emergency Response 'Local Government-Fire Station-Corporate Integrated Platform' Collaboration... Service Launch
Implemented as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 2020 Local Government Collaboration Special Subsidy Support Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] A new path has opened for local governments, fire stations, and companies to collaborate in emergency situations to protect residents' lives and property more safely.
On the 17th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that on the 18th, it will hold a demonstration of the data-based ultra-precise real-time fire control integrated platform at the 119 Comprehensive Situation Room of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Fire Safety Headquarters and officially launch the service.
The data-based ultra-precise real-time fire control integrated platform project is a public-private collaboration that utilizes digital technology called "ultra-precise location information" (error margin reduced from 20m per second to 0.1m) to secure optimal rescue time and protect residents' lives and property. This project was selected last year as part of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "2020 Local Government Collaboration Special Grant Support Project."
Through this project, it will be possible to provide optimal route guidance by real-time monitoring of emergency dispatch vehicles' movements, significantly reducing dispatch times. Real-time movement information and estimated arrival times of emergency vehicles will be provided to reporters of disasters to alleviate their anxiety.
Additionally, real-time location information and on-site footage of about 140 emergency dispatch vehicles of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Fire Safety Headquarters will be shared in real time among dispatch teams, on-site commanders, operation commanders, and the 119 situation room, enabling systematic on-site command from the dispatch stage. Real-time situation monitoring allows immediate support for additional personnel or equipment needed, enabling faster and more accurate disaster response.
