Geumcheon-gu Gender Equality Fund Supports 55 Million KRW to Promote Women's Social Participation
Through the Gender Equality Fund Public Contest, a total of 55 million KRW supported 3 projects... From April to November, 3 organizations promote women's social participation through each project
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) has decided to support 55 million KRW from the '2021 Geumcheon-gu Gender Equality Fund' to three organizations to promote the creation of a women-friendly city and the spread of a culture of gender equality.
Earlier, the district held a public contest from February 1 to February 19, and the Geumcheon-gu Gender Equality Fund Management Committee comprehensively evaluated the 'eligibility of organizations,' 'public interest of projects,' 'feasibility,' 'contribution to the local community,' and 'appropriateness of subsidy budget allocation,' ultimately selecting three projects.
The organizations and projects selected this year are ▲ Seoul Southern Women's Development Center's 'Data Labeler Training Course' ▲ Majenma's '○○○ (Community, Publicness, Public Forum) Project' ▲ Fashionin Cooperative's 'Support for Activating Women's Social Participation through Clothing Manufacturing Technology Education.'
These organizations will carry out their respective projects from April to November to support women's participation in social activities.
The Southern Women's Development Center plans to enhance women's expertise in AI learning data construction and processing fields and promote economic participation by offering a data labeler training course aligned with the rapidly changing labor market, including the acceleration of the artificial intelligence industry.
Majenma's '○○○ (Community, Publicness, Public Forum) Project' is a project that strengthens women's social participation and gender equality capabilities by connecting scattered care resources in the local community, implementing initiatives such as 'Gender Equality Campaign,' 'Gender School,' and 'Small Research on Care Democracy.'
Additionally, Fashionin Cooperative will activate women's social participation through sewing education for women and small sewing group clothing manufacturing technology education, conducting a project that produces clothing accessories by recycling waste fabric and old clothes discarded at local clothing manufacturing factories.
