Japanese Foreign Minister "Reaffirms Importance of Trilateral Cooperation Among US Secretary of State, South Korea, and Japan"
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] During his visit to Japan, U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation among South Korea, the United States, and Japan regarding North Korea policy in a bilateral meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on the 16th.
According to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NHK, Foreign Minister Motegi stated at a press conference held after the meeting with Secretary Blinken, "We once again confirmed the importance of close cooperation among the U.S., Japan, and South Korea."
Foreign Minister Motegi introduced the North Korea policy discussed at the meeting, saying, "We agreed to closely cooperate to achieve the complete denuclearization of North Korea in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions."
