According to Haenam-gun on the 16th, from February 26 to March 10, out of a total of 1,258 people including workers and residents under 65 years old at nursing hospitals, nursing facilities, high-risk medical institutions, and psychiatric medical institutions, 1,254 have completed the first dose.
Currently, vaccinations are underway for first responders such as health centers and fire stations. Starting from the fourth week of March, vaccinations will begin for workers and residents aged 65 and older at nursing hospitals and nursing facilities, with plans to complete the first quarter vaccinations by the end of March.
There have been a total of 72 adverse reactions after vaccination, all of which were mild symptoms such as fever and muscle pain, and no severe cases have been reported.
From the second quarter, vaccinations for the general public will begin. It will be divided into two stages starting with the elderly: those aged 75 and older will be vaccinated at vaccination centers established in health centers, and those aged 65 to 74 will be vaccinated through designated medical institutions.
In particular, considering that many seniors aged 75 and older have difficulty making online reservations and have mobility issues, a support system will be established at each eup and myeon office to take full responsibility from pre-registration, transportation, vaccination, return home, to post-vaccination monitoring, ensuring safe vaccinations for the elderly without any gaps.
