At the National Assembly floor countermeasure meeting that morning, Floor Leader Kim said, "Candidate Oh explained that the development of Naegok District was decided during the Roh Moo-hyun administration, but according to media reports, the development plan was finalized in November 2009 during Mayor Oh's tenure after the Lee Myung-bak administration took office," and criticized, "Self-compensation and false explanations have been revealed."
He added, "Candidate Oh should clearly state his position and apologize to the public for the falsehoods," and urged, "Furthermore, he should disclose the real estate ownership status of himself and his spouse's direct ascendants and descendants."
Earlier, candidate Oh immediately refuted the speculation allegations raised by the ruling party and claimed that the development of the Naegok-dong site in question was decided during the Roh Moo-hyun administration.

On the same day, candidate Oh explained on his Facebook, "In March 2006, Mayor Lee Myung-bak proposed the district designation to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, but due to some controversies during the resident inspection and consultations with related ministries, the designation was not made at that time," and emphasized, "What is clear is that the Naegok-dong land in question has been owned for a long time by my wife and her family, who inherited it in 1970 after my father-in-law's death, and consultations on district designation were underway even before I took office as mayor in July 2006."
He continued, "Assembly members Cheon Jun-ho and Go Min-jung falsely claim that I used my position as Seoul mayor to designate the district and gain enormous compensation benefits, but this is completely untrue," dismissing the allegations. He also countered, "It is not reasonable to say that one would gain enormous profits when land is expropriated by a public institution; if anything, one would suffer losses."
He further stated, "I did not know about the existence or location of this land at the time, and I still do not know its location," warning, "I will respond with a zero-tolerance policy not only to Assembly members Cheon Jun-ho and Go Min-jung for spreading false information and defamation but also to candidate Park Young-sun."
