SK Stoa Launches 'BUY SOCIAL' Introducing Social Enterprise Products
First Item: Eco-Friendly Fashion Brand Art Impact's 'Blue of Ribbon Bag'
1% of Sales Donated Annually to Environmental Group 'FOR THE PLANET'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] SK Stoa announced on the 16th that it is launching the 'BUY SOCIAL' program, which specializes in introducing social enterprise products, and will showcase Art Impact's 'Blue of Ribbon Bag' as its first product.
'BUY SOCIAL' is a program created to support the sales channels of social enterprises and promote ethical consumption. The company explained that after receiving positive customer responses to value-based consumption during a pilot broadcast last year, it decided to launch it as a regular program. The first broadcast will introduce Art Impact's 'Blue of Ribbon Bag' at 2:36 PM on the 17th.
Art Impact is a platform company that collaborates with brands striving to solve social issues, helping to expand their sales channels and proposing valuable lifestyles to consumers. Its own eco-friendly lifestyle brand, 'Blue of,' also produces products using recycled materials. The 'Blue of Ribbon Bag' is made from recycled polyester fabric created by melting discarded PET bottles.
The 'Blue of Ribbon Bag' is an attractive product featuring a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Korean bokjumeoni (lucky pouch) shape and is made from lightweight and durable fabric. It is produced in unique colors such as Forest Green, Beyond Black, Milano Red, Indi Pink, and Lemon Yellow. The Indi Pink color is a new color first introduced by SK Stoa.
Art Impact is a founding member of '1% FOR THE PLANET' and donates 1% of the sales from the 'Blue of' brand to NGOs working to improve the global environment. SK Stoa plans to sell the product during the broadcast at a discounted price of 49,000 KRW, which is 10,000 KRW less than the regular price. As a gift, customers will also receive a 'Blue of Simple Pouch' (worth 19,000 KRW) in the same color.
Yoo Je-kwang, head of the SV team at SK Stoa, said, "We will continue to discover and showcase social enterprise products that embody ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values through the 'BUY SOCIAL' program."
