View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 16th, the People Power Party announced its stance to conduct a full investigation of National Assembly members regarding real estate speculation allegations, along with demanding a special prosecutor and a national audit.
Joo Ho-young, the floor leader of the People Power Party, held a press conference that morning and said, "The People Power Party demands a strong full investigation targeting National Assembly members, as well as the implementation of a special prosecutor and a national audit without further ado."
Floor leader Joo stated, "During the March session, the special prosecutor bill for the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) should be immediately processed in the plenary session. The Democratic Party must promptly cooperate in co-sponsoring the special prosecutor law." He added, "Until the special prosecutor is appointed, the National Police Agency's investigation unit currently in charge must conduct a rigorous investigation, risking the fate of the organization, to prevent criminals from destroying evidence."
He continued, "We will submit the national audit request today," and demanded, "A national audit should be conducted on all land transaction participants in the 3rd new towns, including the epicenters of the LH scandal: Gwangmyeong-Siheung, Namyangju Wangsuk, Incheon Gyeyang Technovalley, Hanam Gyosan, Goyang Changneung, and Bucheon Daejang public housing districts."

He also urged the Democratic Party to submit consent forms for a full investigation of all 174 of its members. He emphasized, "We demand a full investigation of all National Assembly members, their immediate family members, local government heads, local council members, public institution officials, and of course, the Blue House."
