'Maeum Oasis' Opens to Comfort Hearts Weary from COVID-19
Seoul City Opens Online Learning Quarantine Channel on Lifelong Learning Portal on the 17th

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 16th that it will open the online learning quarantine channel "Maeum Oasis" within the Seoul Lifelong Learning Portal on the 17th to soothe the weary minds of Seoul citizens due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Maeum Oasis offers 71 diverse free courses. Through practical courses such as home baking and latte art making, people can challenge themselves with hobbies that are usually difficult to learn and relieve stress. Humanities lectures, including special lectures by notable figures that allow participants to reflect on themselves by following various life traces, are also provided. Additionally, 12 courses covering everything about the COVID-19 vaccine have been prepared.
This channel can also be used to diagnose your mental state and seek solutions. It comprehensively introduces and connects public and private mental health diagnosis platforms and support information, such as Kakao Mind Weather and the Mental Health Information Portal. Anyone can perform an online self-diagnosis, and if there is a problem, free counseling is available at 205 mental health screening institutions with city support (up to 3 times per person, worth about 80,000 KRW).
Through Maeum Oasis, the Seoul Metropolitan Government aims to help citizens overcome pain through various learning and reflection opportunities, diagnose their mental state, and encourage them to seek help from related institutions before stress worsens.
