This is the story of Lee Westwood (England). Recently, he finished second place in two consecutive weeks at the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship. It was a valuable runner-up finish after a thrilling battle in the final round's champion group. In an interview with Golf Channel on the 15th (Korean time), he smiled and said, "I will turn 48 in a few days," and "I competed for the win against Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas (both from the U.S.), who are twenty years younger than me."
Westwood was once ranked number one in the world in 2010. Although he has no major championship wins, he has earned 44 professional victories, including 2 PGA Tour wins and 25 European Tour wins. After struggling without a title since the 2018 Nedbank Golf Challenge, he captured the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship last year and was named European Tour Player of the Year this year. He credited his girlfriend and caddie, Helen Storey, as the "power behind his comeback." She is a former Pilates instructor whom he met after his divorce in 2015.
