Tesla CEO Musk's New Title: 'Techno King'
Highlighting Technology Leadership Image
CFO Holds Title of 'Master of Coin'
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has changed his title to 'Techno King.' Jack Kirkhorn, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been named 'Master of Coin.'
According to U.S. media including CNN, Tesla announced on the 15th (local time) through a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing that Musk's title would be changed to 'Tesla's Techno King.'
Regardless of the official titles, the company stated that Musk and Kirkhorn will continue to hold their CEO and CFO positions.
Tesla did not provide specific explanations regarding the new titles for Musk and Kirkhorn.
However, it is analyzed that this is to highlight Musk's image as a technology leader. On the 13th, Musk mentioned 'technology' on his Twitter, writing, "Homo sapiens techno: likes parties and technology."
Despite becoming the world's richest person, Musk continues to challenge leading future technologies through Tesla, SpaceX, and Hyperlink.
CNN commented that Musk's new title signals his intention not to be limited to the role of a simple CEO.
The CFO's title can be linked to Tesla's purchase of $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
