Seoul Facilities Corporation Introduces Specialized Employee Training in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data
From the 16th, KAIST Professor Kim Dae-sik to Train Industrial Complex Team Leaders and Above on 'Artificial Intelligence Trends'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Facilities Corporation is set to fully introduce a specialized training program to enhance the artificial intelligence (AI) and big data utilization capabilities of its executives and employees.
On the 16th, the corporation announced that, as AI and big data have become essential technologies across industries worldwide, this training program is being introduced with the aim of providing differentiated citizen services in the public sector.
Since last year, the corporation has been operating a ‘Smart Education Program’ related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and conducted employee surveys during the training courses. Through this, they have reflected the needs of executives and employees regarding AI and big data analysis and have strived to develop appropriate training courses that can deliver results in the corporation’s related tasks.
The training will begin on the 16th with the ‘AI Trends Course’ targeted at the corporation’s managerial staff. This course is designed for team leaders and above to enhance their understanding of AI and to develop the mindset and capabilities to strategically utilize it. Professor Kim Dae-sik from KAIST will deliver a lecture titled ‘Opportunities and Risks in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.’ Since this training is for managerial staff, the main content will focus on identifying improvements in public services using AI from an organizational management perspective.
Additionally, to cultivate the understanding and utilization skills of executives and employees regarding AI and big data analysis, the corporation will introduce courses such as ‘Understanding and Analyzing Big Data’ and ‘Understanding and Utilizing AR and VR’ starting next month. Furthermore, related training will be conducted through collaboration with external institutions such as the AI Yangjae Hub and the Korea Artificial Intelligence Academy. Through this, employees will be trained to collect data generated during work processes, transform it into organizational assets, and utilize it to provide better citizen services.
