Jeongeup-si, Application Open for Support Projects to Revitalize Returning Farming and Returning to Rural Areas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 15th that it is recruiting applicants for the ‘2021 Return-to-Farming and Return-to-Village Activation Support Project.’
The application period is from today until the 22nd, and the application fields are four projects: ▲ Practical education with local residents ▲ Return-to-farming and return-to-village mentor consulting ▲ Talent donation operation ▲ Club activities.
‘Practical education with local residents’ is a project that supports return-to-farming and return-to-village people and local residents participating together to provide practical education information and to form mutual bonds.
The project budget is 15 million KRW for 3 locations (5 million KRW per location).
The ‘Return-to-farming and return-to-village mentor consulting support project’ operates a team of 10 mentors to provide one-on-one customized counseling and on-site education for about 7 months to returnees who have moved to rural areas within 5 years, covering farming techniques, crop cultivation methods, and various rural life necessities.
Mentor application qualifications include those who have completed mentor consultant training related to return-to-farming and return-to-village, full-time farmers, start-up agricultural managers, and new knowledge farmers. The project budget supports 21 million KRW (300,000 KRW per mentor per month for 7 months).
‘Talent donation operation’ is a project that supports the integration of return-to-farming and return-to-village people and residents by sharing various talents held by returnees with local residents. The talent donation team operation support fund (materials, etc.) is 4 million KRW for 2 locations (2 million KRW per location).
The ‘Club activities project’ supports the formation of club activity groups by return-to-farming and return-to-village people and local residents together to create a space for mutual interaction and communication. A total of 10 million KRW for 5 locations (2 million KRW per location) is supported.
