Kia Appoints Executive Director Ryu Chang-seung as General Manager of China Corporation
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Kia announced on the 15th that it has appointed Executive Director Ryu Changseung as General Manager (CEO) of Dongfeng Yueda Kia, its local subsidiary in China.
General Manager Ryu was in charge of sales and marketing at Hyundai Motor's Asia-Pacific Regional Headquarters, U.S. subsidiary, Overseas Sales Headquarters, and Domestic Sales Headquarters.
He recently served as Head of Brand Strategy at Hyundai Motor China Investment Co., Ltd. (HMGC), overseeing Hyundai Motor Group's brand strategy in China.
Vice President Li Feng, who was appointed General Manager in 2019, will move to HMGC to take charge of business strategy in China.

Kia is expected to accelerate its efforts to overcome sluggishness in the Chinese market through the change of the General Manager of its Chinese subsidiary. Kia's sales target for the China region this year is 255,000 units, more than 10% higher than last year's sales volume of 224,567 units.
