Jaguar Land Rover Announces Mid-to-Long-Term Strategy 'Reimagine'... "Achieving Zero Emissions by 2036"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Jaguar Land Rover has announced its goal to achieve zero emissions by 2036 and carbon neutrality throughout the entire process of vehicle production, supply, and operation by 2039.
Jaguar Land Rover Korea held a press briefing on the morning of the 15th to announce Jaguar Land Rover's global strategy for a sustainable future, called 'Reimagine,' and its strategy for a resurgence in the Korean market.
The Reimagine strategy is Jaguar Land Rover's global mid-to-long-term roadmap with sustainability as its core value. Jaguar Land Rover plans to achieve zero emissions by 2036 and carbon neutrality across all stages of vehicle production, supply, and operation by 2039. Prior to this, starting with the elimination of diesel by 2026, the company plans to add electrified models to its entire lineup by 2030, equipping 100% of Jaguar vehicles and 60% of Land Rover vehicles with zero-emission powertrains.
Jaguar aims to transform into a pure electric luxury brand combining innovative technology and design by 2025. Land Rover also plans to introduce six pure electric models, including luxury sport utility vehicles (SUVs), over the next five years. The first pure electric model will be launched in 2024.
The company has also begun developing hydrogen fuel cells and is preparing for prototype driving tests this year. Approximately 3.8 trillion KRW will be invested annually in electrification technology, connected services development, and data-driven technologies to improve the customer ecosystem.
Jaguar Land Rover Korea introduced its 4P strategy to target the Korean market: ▲launching competitive new products (Product), ▲new pricing policies to enhance customer benefits (Price), ▲next-generation infotainment system Pivi Pro, and ▲application of new powertrain policies for the eco-friendly era (Powertrain).
Additionally, Jaguar Land Rover Korea explained that this year it plans to launch one new model and three facelift models, including the Land Rover All-New Defender 90, New Discovery, Jaguar New F-PACE, and New XF.
Jaguar Land Rover Korea also announced plans to establish direct communication channels with customers to maintain high satisfaction after vehicle purchase. The company will actively address customer feedback promptly and make every effort to strengthen customer trust.
