Wando-gun, Full Payment of Farmers and Fishermen Public Interest Allowance for the First Half of the Year
From the 16th, Farmers and Fishermen Will Receive 600,000 Won Each in Wando Sarang Gift Certificates
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 15th that it will make an early lump-sum payment of 5.7 billion won in 2021 agricultural and fishery public interest allowances starting from the 16th to support farmers and fishermen struggling due to COVID-19 and to revitalize the local economy.
The agricultural and fishery public interest allowance is provided to the heads of agricultural, fishery, and forestry management entities who have continuously resided in Wando-gun since before December 31, 2019, to promote the public interest functions of rural areas.
The county originally planned to pay the allowance in two installments of 300,000 won each in the first and second halves of the year, but due to the prolonged impact of COVID-19 and the economic difficulties faced by farmers and fishermen, it decided to pay the full amount in the first half to stabilize their livelihoods and revitalize the local economy.
Starting from the 16th, public officials in charge of each village will visit the villages to distribute receipt slips. Upon receiving the receipt slip, recipients can visit the financial institution in charge of their address (excluding post offices) with a valid ID and the receipt slip to immediately receive 600,000 won in Wando Love Gift Certificates.
