"COVID-19 Quarantine Violation" Report... Police Arrive to Find 'Gambling Den'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On the 14th, nine Chinese residents in Seoul's Guro-gu were caught by the police for holding a gambling session at a private residence. They are also expected to face administrative measures for violating COVID-19 quarantine regulations (violation of gathering restriction orders).
The Guro Police Station in Seoul announced that at around 2:33 PM that day, seven men in their 50s to 60s and two women were booked and investigated on charges including operating a gambling den at a house in Guro-dong.
The police responded to a report of more than five people gathering in violation of quarantine rules and raided the gambling scene. The total stakes were reported to be about 1.5 million won.

The police have identified that the Chinese residents, who work as daily laborers, gathered on their day off, and plan to notify the local district office for violation of the gathering restriction order.
