'COVID-19 Spread' Jinju City Temporarily Closes 5 Indoor Public Sports Facilities
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, has recently decided to temporarily close five indoor public sports facilities from the 13th until further notice due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The targeted indoor public sports facilities are Munsan Indoor Gymnasium (Munsan-eup), Jinju Sports Center (Sangpyeong-dong), Jinju Indoor Gymnasium (Chojeon-dong), Chojeon-dong Jinju National Sports Center (including indoor swimming pool), and Jinju Table Tennis Plaza (Sinan-dong).
For six outdoor public sports facilities such as Jinju Sports Complex, where the risk of infection is lower, the capacity will be limited from 50% to 30% under strict compliance with quarantine rules.

A city official stated, "Considering the recent chain infection at bathhouses, we have inevitably decided to close these facilities temporarily," and added, "We will make every effort to completely block the spread of infection by ensuring that 617 private sports facility businesses in the city comply with infection prevention rules and provide preventive supplies."
