In Goryeong-gun, where an administrative order for diagnostic testing was issued for foreign workers, 4 additional cases were confirmed following 6 cases on the previous day (11th), causing the daily number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area to rise again to double digits.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 13th, as of midnight, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area was 3,361 (including 76 imported cases). The new confirmed cases by region were 5 in Gumi-si (2 imported), 4 in Goryeong-gun, 2 each in Pohang-si and Andong-si, and 1 in Sangju-si.
In Gumi-si, among the 5 new confirmed cases, 2 tested positive following testing due to a confirmed case among workplace colleagues. Another case was a contact of Gumi case number 386 confirmed on the 11th, and the other 2 were imported cases.
In Goryeong-gun, 4 cases were confirmed through diagnostic testing conducted under the administrative order targeting employers who hire 5 or more foreign workers.
Among the 2 new confirmed cases in Pohang-si, one tested positive while in self-quarantine after contact with a prior confirmed case (Pohang 494), and the other tested positive during the certificate issuance process for studying abroad.
Among the 2 new confirmed cases in Andong-si, one tested positive while in self-quarantine after contact with a resident of Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi-do, confirmed on the 1st, and the other tested positive in a pre-release test after contact with Uiseong case number 130 confirmed on February 26.
In Sangju-si, one person tested positive after undergoing testing for the purpose of moving into a village.
