According to the 2020 business report disclosed on the 11th by LG Corporation, the holding company of LG Group, Chairman Koo received 8.08 billion KRW in compensation last year. Specifically, his salary was 4.368 billion KRW and his bonus was 3.64 billion KRW.
The company explained, "Despite the ongoing external uncertainties and the slowdown in domestic economic growth, considering the achievement of sales of 6.5345 trillion KRW and operating profit of 994.3 billion KRW on a consolidated basis for LG Corporation in 2019, we calculated the bonus by taking into account contributions to business structure advancement and enhancement of business competitiveness for discovering future growth engines from a long-term perspective related to non-quantitative indicators."
