Operation of Learning Personality Type Test and Real-Time Video Group Counseling Program for Elementary School Students
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju Youth Counseling and Welfare Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it will operate an online group counseling program to help elementary school students adapt to school life.
The Youth Counseling and Welfare Center's psychological testing and group counseling program is designed for upper-grade elementary students who face increased academic workload and the onset of physical and psychological puberty. The program supports students by conducting learning personality type tests and peer relationship enhancement group counseling to instill confidence in school life.
To ensure the safety of students from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the program is conducted through non-face-to-face psychological testing and online group counseling.
Youth participating in the program are given the opportunity to discover the study methods that suit them best and develop their own learning habits. By learning how to build and maintain positive relationships with friends, it is expected to boost their confidence in school life.
A center official stated, "As COVID-19 prolongs, various non-face-to-face programs are increasing in schools and counseling welfare settings," adding, "As a specialized youth counseling and welfare institution in the area, we will continue to support the healthy psychological growth of youth by adapting existing programs to the current situation."
