Dongdaemun-gu, Recruiting Participants for Community-Led Job Projects Including Big Data Processing
Providing Opportunities to Enhance Job Experience and Skills in AI, Cloud, Big Data Analysis... Recruiting 20 Participants for Regional-Led Job Project Until the 23rd
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) is recruiting young people to participate in the 2021 Local Government-led Youth Job Project, which helps youth gain practical employment through job experience.
The Local Government-led Youth Job Project was established to provide young people with job experience opportunities to adapt to the rapidly changing employment environment in the post-COVID-19 era, as well as to enhance corporate competitiveness by enabling companies to hire outstanding young talent.
Selected young talents will perform various tasks at companies and institutions utilizing non-face-to-face and digital technologies, including ▲online content creation and management ▲data collection, processing, and handling ▲non-face-to-face marketing and promotion planning ▲non-face-to-face customer support.
In particular, the district expects that through practical work such as AI, cloud, AR/VR, online platform construction and management, and big data analysis, young people’s adaptability and response capabilities in the post-COVID-19 era will be strengthened.
The total number of recruits is 20. Applicants must be unemployed youth aged 39 or younger residing in Dongdaemun-gu as of the announcement date, or graduates (or expected graduates) of specialized high schools or universities located in Dongdaemun-gu, who have no regular income and are economically inactive. However, university (graduate) students, civil servant appointees, those with scheduled employment, and those who have participated in direct job projects (public work, New Deal projects, etc.) for more than two years are not eligible to apply.
Youth wishing to participate can apply by visiting the Job Policy Division on the 6th floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office in person, or by email (smk1102@ddm.go.kr) or registered mail by the 23rd of this month.
After document screening, the district will conduct hiring interviews with participating companies next month and decide on final selection. The finally selected youth will complete basic training (20 hours) conducted by the district and will be fully deployed to the hired companies starting in May.
From May to October, participants will work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 6 months, with wages paid around 2 million KRW per month.
For more details, check the Dongdaemun-gu website or contact the Dongdaemun-gu Job Policy Division.
