Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education Holds New Semester College Admission Briefing Session
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education announced on the 10th that it will hold college entrance briefing sessions in March and April to help students and parents understand measures to strengthen fairness in college admissions for the new semester and to provide the latest admission services.
This briefing session will start with topics of great interest at the beginning of the semester, such as the ‘Regional Base National University Admission Briefing,’ ‘Admission Briefing with Education Universities,’ and ‘Student Record-Based Admission Briefing with Students and Parents.’
The Regional Base National University ▲Admission Briefing will be held on the 11th at the Jinju Education Support Office Auditorium and on April 7th at the Gyeongnam Office of Education Gonggam Hall; the ▲Education University Admission Briefing will be held on March 25th at the Jinju Education Support Office Auditorium and on April 8th at the Gyeongnam Office of Education Gonggam Hall; the ▲Student Record-Based Admission Briefing will be held on March 12th at the Gyeongnam Office of Education Gonggam Hall and on April 9th at the Jinju Education Support Office Auditorium.
The briefing sessions will also provide booklets containing new college admission system content, types and characteristics of curricula and admission systems, regional admission types for the 2022 academic year, ways to utilize career elective subjects for college admissions, and features of the College Scholastic Ability Test system.
The office aims to reduce concerns about academic achievement gaps caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic by providing the latest admission services, and strengthen collaboration among homes, schools, communities, and the Office of Education centered on the Gyeongnam College Admission Information Center.
On the 30th, the ‘Western College Admission Information Center’ will open in Jinju City to provide the latest admission information and offer balanced admission services across regions.
On April 10th, at the Gyeongnam Office of Education Gonggam Hall, an admission briefing session for the 2022 academic year will be held for students and parents by inviting admission officials from four military academies, including the Army, Navy, Air Force Academies, and the Armed Forces Nursing Academy.
Participants in the event were asked to actively cooperate with quarantine measures to prevent COVID-19 infection.
