Production of Promotional Materials for Yangnim-dong, Gwangju Nam-gu's 'Tourism No.1 Area'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 10th that it will produce a Yangnim-dong tourist guidebook to provide convenience to tourists, as the number of Gwangju citizens and visitors coming to Yangnim-dong, a modern historical and cultural village, is increasing.
The Yangnim-dong tourist guidebook to be introduced this time will be produced in the form of a pocket-sized booklet and a map by the end of this month.
The pocket-sized booklet measures 10.5 cm in width and 15 cm in height, consists of 36 pages including the cover, and the Yangnim-dong tourist guide map will be made in a folding form measuring 45 cm in width and 30 cm in height.
Both the pocket-sized booklet and the tourist guide map include recommended travel courses based on three themes: missionary travel routes, cultural and artistic travel routes, and traditional culture travel routes. They also contain hidden local restaurants, accommodations, specialty products, and transportation information within Yangnim-dong for the convenience of tourists.
The two types of Yangnim-dong tourist guidebooks will be available at the Yangnim-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Yangnim-dong tourist hub areas, Gwangju Tourism Foundation, and the Gwangju Hub Travel Centers to be established in Dong-gu and Buk-gu areas in the future.

A Nam-gu official said, “We will produce guidebooks containing various tourism information such as tourist attractions in the Yangnim-dong area to enhance the convenience of tourists and contribute a small part to the revitalization of the local culture and tourism industry.”
