Korea Elevator Safety Agency to Recruit 100 Internship Positions with Early Hiring in the First Half of the Year
Intern Recruitment on the 8th to Create Youth Jobs... Plan to Advance New Employee Hiring to the First Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Korea Elevator Safety Agency is leading the creation of public sector jobs by hiring a large-scale recruitment-type internship program, where interns are converted to full-time employees after a three-month internship period.
On the 10th, the agency announced that it had hired 100 recruitment-type interns on the 8th to revitalize the employment market, which has been shrinking due to difficult economic conditions such as COVID-19, and to create jobs for young people.
Until now, the agency mainly hired new employees in the second half of the year, but to improve the worsening employment situation, it plans to advance the hiring period to the first half of the year starting this year.
In addition, to create jobs for young people and strengthen elevator safety, the agency hired 100 people, 30 more than the official quota of 70. These recruitment-type interns will undergo a three-month internship training course and then work as inspectors at elevator inspection sites.
Meanwhile, the agency has hired about 360 new employees over the past three years to respond to the government's job creation policy and to strengthen elevator safety.
