[Click eStock] "Cheil Worldwide Expected to Exceed Q1 Earnings Estimates"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Daishin Securities maintained its 'Buy' rating and target price of 28,000 KRW for Cheil Worldwide on the 10th, expecting better-than-anticipated performance in the first quarter of this year.
Kim Hoejae, a researcher at Daishin Securities, stated, "The first quarter results this year are expected to be better than anticipated," adding, "Gross profit (GP) is expected to reach 280 billion KRW, a 7% increase year-on-year, and operating profit is projected at 40.3 billion KRW, up 32%."
It is analyzed that the net increase in 5G subscribers is expected to expand following the launch of the iPhone 5G at the end of October last year. The number of 5G subscribers, which was 740,000 in October last year, increased to 1.02 million in January this year.
There is also an explanation that Samsung's strengthened marketing of the Galaxy S21 was in response to the popularity of the iPhone. Researcher Kim said, "Samsung is estimated to have launched the Galaxy S21 about a month earlier than usual, at the end of January, and increased marketing intensity."
