Apple Newsroom reported on the 9th that the Apple Women's Health Research Team at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health released preliminary research results on menstrual cycles based on information from more than 10,000 female participants aged 18 and older in the United States.
This Apple Women's Health research was conducted through Apple's Research app. Participants easily took part in the study using their personal iPhones or Apple Watches. Participants from diverse racial backgrounds including Black, Hispanic, and White took part, and the study was conducted extensively across the United States.

Some less commonly known symptoms, such as diarrhea and changes in sleep cycles, were experienced by 37% of participants who recorded these symptoms.

Dr. Sumbul Desai, Apple's Vice President of Health, also evaluated, "These research results represent a step forward in validating menstrual symptoms and removing the stigma associated with them."
