[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone summit on the 9th and agreed to promote Quad (United States, Japan, Australia, India) cooperation, Kyodo News reported.
According to the report, Prime Minister Suga expressed serious concerns about China's unilateral attempts to change the status quo in the East and South China Seas, the enforcement of China's Coast Guard Law, and the situations in Hong Kong and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
Kyodo News also reported that the four Quad countries are coordinating to hold their first online summit on the 12th.
