Open KakaoTalk and Shake Twice to Bring Up QR Check-in
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] From now on, users can use the non-face-to-face electronic entry log (QR Check-in) simply by shaking their phone without clicking after opening KakaoTalk.
On the 9th, Kakao announced that it has introduced the 'QR Check-in Shake Function' in Kakao Lab. The 'Shake Function' is a service that allows users to perform QR Check-in by shaking their phone twice after launching KakaoTalk.
This feature is available starting today for KakaoTalk users with version 9.2.5 or higher. However, updates will be rolled out sequentially by OS, so the timing will vary by user.
Users can enable this by tapping the 'Settings' icon at the top right of the KakaoTalk More tab, entering 'Lab,' selecting 'Shake Function,' and then choosing 'QR Check-in.'
Kakao also provides QR Check-in as a 'Home Screen Widget' for iOS KakaoTalk users. iOS users can add the 'QR Check-in' widget by entering the 'Widget' menu on the home screen, selecting 'KakaoTalk,' and adding 'QR Check-in' as a widget.
