This appears to be a follow-up to President Moon Jae-in’s remarks during the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of the Interior and Safety briefing the previous day, where he said, "Organic cooperation between the prosecution and police is an important task to finalize the adjustment of investigative authority," and "This LH speculation allegation case is the first case requiring organic cooperation between the prosecution and police." Essentially, it orders the prosecution’s participation in the investigation. It is expected that the prosecution will also be included in the government joint investigation headquarters, which involves the National Police Agency’s Criminal Investigation Headquarters, the National Tax Service, and the Financial Services Commission. However, the police will lead the investigation, with some prosecutors dispatched in certain roles.
