View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, raised suspicions regarding the Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH) in connection with the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) incident.
On the 9th, Oh stated on Facebook, "As speculation by LH employees surfaced, public attention is now focused on SH Corporation, which has the same authority and duties as LH," adding, "The widespread speculation using information obtained through official duties is unlikely to be limited to LH alone."
Oh said, "In Balsan District, where the cost of sale was disclosed, the sale price per pyeong was 6 million won, but in Magok District, where former Mayor Park Won-soon and SH President Byun Chang-heum actively carried out the project, the cost of sale items was reduced, and the sale price per pyeong, separated by just one street, approached 12 to 20 million won. Considering that the construction cost per pyeong has only increased by 2 million won over the past 10 years, there may have been appraisal manipulation or involvement of vested interests, so the next mayor must thoroughly investigate this process," he emphasized.
