Lee Jae-myung Ranks First in Presidential Candidate Preference Among Seoul Citizens... Attends Democratic Party Executive Committee Meeting on the 9th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, who ranked first ahead of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol in a multi-candidate presidential race poll in the Seoul area, will attend the Democratic Party's Executive Committee meeting on the 9th.
A close aide to Governor Lee said, "Formally, it is an official party schedule, so naturally he will attend," adding, "Substantively, he has rarely attended the Executive Committee meetings before, but since it is Representative Lee Nak-yeon's last schedule, he is attending to show support."
He continued, "As a member of the Democratic Party, he will express gratitude for the representative's hard work and support, while confirming the one-team principle."
Earlier, according to a survey conducted by polling specialist Embrain Public commissioned by News1 on the 7th and 8th, 1,009 men and women aged 18 and over residing in Seoul were asked, "Among the following randomly called individuals, who do you think is most suitable as the next president?" 23.0% of respondents chose Governor Lee Jae-myung.
Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol recorded 19.3%, and Representative Lee Nak-yeon 11.6%.
Governor Lee ranked first in all age groups except those aged 60 and over in this survey. He received the most support particularly from those in their 40s (32.5%). His approval ratings were also high among progressives (38.3%) and Democratic Party supporters (41.6%).

Meanwhile, the survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire with quotas by gender, age, and region, through telephone interviews using virtual mobile phone numbers (100% mobile phones). The sampling error is ±3.1 percentage points (p) at a 95% confidence level, and the response rate is 16.7%.
