Namwon-si, Comprehensive Agricultural Register Cleanup by the End of This Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City, Jeonbuk Province, announced on the 8th that it plans to complete the comprehensive maintenance of the Nongjiwonbu, which records ownership, leasing, usage status, and lease information of farmland, together with 23 eup, myeon, and dong districts by the end of this year.
The Nongjiwonbu, used as basic data for establishing agricultural and farmland-related policies, is prepared and managed at the eup, myeon, and dong offices of the address of agricultural households or agricultural corporations cultivating crops or perennial plants on farmland of 1,000㎡ (330㎡ for facilities) or more.
The maintenance of the Nongjiwonbu will be promoted by comparing and analyzing it with other policy data such as land registers and agricultural management entity registration information, as well as through on-site verification.
It plans to update ownership and lease information of farmland, including changes in cultivation, to reflect the current situation. In cases where information is unclear or inconsistent with the management entity registration information of the subject, explanations will be requested. If necessary, promotion of farmland lease consignment projects by the Farmland Bank and farmland usage surveys will also be conducted concurrently.
This year, the focus will be on maintaining the Nongjiwonbu for farmland owned by agriculturalists under 80 years old whose farmland location and owner’s address are in the same administrative district, aiming to complete the comprehensive maintenance.
To encourage the maintenance of the Nongjiwonbu, the city regularly inspects maintenance performance, provides education for those in charge and assistants, and reflects the maintenance rate of eup, myeon, and dong in the performance management indicators to increase accountability of the eup, myeon, and dong officials.
