According to the Seogwipo City Livestock Cooperative on the 8th, the cow raised by Kim Gye-sam, the owner of Samsung Hanwoo Farm in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo City, Jeju, is the protagonist.
This cow reached 1,265kg in 38 months. It is 31kg heavier than the previous heaviest Super Hanwoo in Jeju (1,234kg).
The loin area of this Hanwoo is 161㎠, and its grade is 1++C.
Typically, Hanwoo shipped from farms weigh around 700kg, but when the weight exceeds about 1 ton, 1000kg, it is called a 'Super Hanwoo.'
General Super Hanwoo are fattened for more than 45 months before shipment, but this Super Hanwoo was shipped after shortening this period by about 7 months, at 38 months.
