Honam University Integrated News Center Launches 'Visible Radio'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University Integrated News Center marked the beginning of a new era on the 8th by airing its first broadcast of the upgraded "Visible Radio," enhancing its existing audio broadcast.
According to Honam University, the Integrated News Center aired the 50-minute visible radio program "Dodam Dodam Todak Todak" on Honam University TV's YouTube channel from 12:30 PM in the Magic Studio, hosted by Professor Ahn Hyun-soo (Department of Korean Language) and student reporter Ok Seol-min (3rd year, Department of Media, Video, and Performance).
The first broadcast, which introduced a system previously exclusive to established terrestrial broadcasters into the university broadcasting station, was streamed live on YouTube as well as on-campus, allowing the first interaction with viewers.
Broadcast every Monday at noon, "Visible Radio Dodam Dodam Todak Todak" features in its first segment, "I Wanted to Meet," conversations with guests students have long wished to meet, and in the second segment, "Tok Tok Live," it programs current affairs and cultural content such as movies, books, songs, and monthly news, creating a diverse space for communication.
The first guest in the first segment on this day was Professor Jang Yoon-kyung, Director of the Honam University Teaching and Learning Development Center, who introduced the center’s main tasks and usage methods. In the second segment, Editor-in-Chief Yoo Min-ji of the Integrated News Center introduced the 1990 film "Dead Poets Society," directed by Peter Weir, through the "Shall We Watch a Movie Together?" corner.
Honam University Integrated News Center, the only multi-journalist training institution among universities nationwide, has been operating since March 2009 by integrating four campus media outlets: Honam University Newspaper, Broadcasting Station, English Newspaper, and Chinese Quarterly.
The Integrated News Center trains multi-journalists by providing over 20 student reporters with education in reporting, broadcast production, photography and video shooting and editing, announcing, and overall newspaper and broadcasting practical skills.

It also publishes the Honam University Newspaper and the Chinese Honam University Journal, and operates Honam University TV and Hoho TV channels through SNS platforms such as YouTube and Facebook alongside radio broadcasting.
