Construction Project of Yangju Eoullim Center Passes Ministry of the Interior and Safety Central Investment Review
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The construction of Yangju Eoullim Center, a key project promoted by Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province, has passed the first local finance central investment review by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2021.
According to the city on the 8th, Yangju Eoullim Center is a comprehensive social welfare center to be built on an 8,000㎡ site at 68 Yuyang-dong, with a total project cost of 21.7 billion KRW including 7.5 billion KRW in national funding. The building will have a total floor area of 6,000㎡, with one basement floor and five above-ground floors.
The center will create a complex space providing various customized services in welfare, sports, and culture all in one place, including various education program rooms, exercise clinics, physical therapy rooms, and a cafeteria. It is planned to be established as a hub-type senior welfare center.

The city plans to complete administrative procedures such as urban planning facility decisions and lifting of development restrictions, conduct architectural design competitions, and carry out basic and detailed design services, aiming for completion in 2025.
