Participation in the Plastic-Free SNS Campaign on the 8th... A Small Commitment to Reducing Plastic in Daily Life
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 8th, Yoo Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, joined the ‘GoGo Challenge,’ a pledge to practice daily life 탈(脫) plastic to fundamentally reduce disposable products and plastics.
The ‘GoGo Challenge’ is a relay campaign that started on January 4th by the Ministry of Environment, where participants pledge to practice 탈(脫) plastic and continue the movement.
Participants in the campaign promise one action to avoid and one action to take in daily life to reduce plastic, post it on social networking services (SNS), and then nominate three next participants to continue the campaign.
Having been nominated by Yoo Sung-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol, who joined this campaign, pledged through this campaign, “Refuse disposable plastic bags! Reduce plastic use! I promise small daily actions to reduce plastic to restore the beautiful appearance of the Earth.”
Mayor Yoo recommended Cho Eun-hee, Mayor of Seocho-gu, Park Joon-hee, Mayor of Gwanak-gu, and Yoo Dong-gyun, Mayor of Mapo-gu as the next campaign participants.
