Damyang-gun Fully Committed to Reopen Comprehensive Gymnasium by End of September After Disaster Recovery
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County in Jeonnam announced on the 8th that it is making every effort to restore the comprehensive gymnasium, which suffered great damage due to record-breaking heavy rain last summer.
The county set a goal to reopen by the end of September and began a detailed damage survey and disaster recovery design request, starting demolition work on the indoor gymnasium floor and equipment in December.
Currently, the disaster recovery work is being carried out in five areas: demolition of waste such as the indoor gymnasium floor, corridors, ceiling, and various equipment, as well as construction, electrical, communication, mechanical, and firefighting.
