Damyang-gun Operates Voluntary Reporting Period for Unregistered Groundwater Development and Utilization Facilities
Benefits of Exemption from Penalties and Fines for Reporting by May 3
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Damyang-gun announced on the 8th that it will operate a voluntary reporting period for unregistered groundwater facilities until May 3rd to ensure proper development and use of groundwater within the jurisdiction and efficient conservation management.
The voluntary reporting targets those who have not obtained permission for groundwater development and use, and criminal penalties and fines for violations of obligations are exempted upon voluntary reporting.
In addition, to minimize the required documents for voluntary reporters, basic submission documents such as performance bonds, cadastral maps/forest maps, facility installation plans, completion reports, and water quality test reports are exempted.
The method of voluntary reporting is to submit the permit (report) application form, proof of land use and benefit rights, etc., to the town/myeon office where the facility is located or to the Damyang-gun Ecological Environment Division.
After the voluntary reporting period ends, those who develop and use groundwater facilities without obtaining a report or permission under the Groundwater Act will be strictly subject to legal penalties such as criminal punishment and fines.
