Hong Joon-pyo: "Moon Administration Pushes Out Yoon Seok-yeol, Divides Opposition... Only Lee Jae-myung's Handling Left?"
Let's closely watch what kind of conspiracy is being plotted
Post from the day before criticizing the prosecution's culture as thugs, shared by former Minister Cho Kuk
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Independent lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo stated on the 6th, "After Moon Jae-in's retirement, the plan is to dismantle the prosecution's investigative authority for safety and to shape the next presidential election landscape. By pushing out Yoon Seok-yeol, the seed of division in the opposition camp has been created, and only dealing with Lee Jae-myung remains."
On the same day, through his Facebook, Hong said, "Using the prosecution as a tool, they took control of the executive branch through investigations into accumulated evils, then successively took over the code judiciary, code constitutional court, and code election commission, and finally controlled local governments through a disguised peace show." He added, "They used the COVID-19 military service show and distributed disaster relief funds, and by exploiting the opposition party's disarray, they took control of the National Assembly."
He continued, "By pushing out Yoon Seok-yeol, the seed of division in the opposition camp was created, and only dealing with Lee Jae-myung remains. Whether to form a four-party structure or send Lee Jae-myung away and form a three-party structure, let's closely watch how the Moon administration's schemes unfold." He also added, "Now, let's not be foolish and get caught again; let's come up with a countermeasure."
The day before, Hong posted, "Due to political prosecutors who are less than 1%, the prosecution culture at the time was a thug culture." He said, "Whenever prosecution reform was attempted, they voluntarily acted as the regime's hunting dogs to maintain their monopolistic power, and the peak of this was the so-called accumulated evils investigation under the Moon Jae-in administration." He questioned, "The dispersion of investigative authority itself is by no means anti-democratic. The public has no problem being investigated anywhere. But has the prosecution ever played a role as a human rights protection agency even once?"
Hong pointed out, "Do you think the political retaliation against two former presidents carried out by the prosecution under President Moon's orders will not apply to the retired President Moon? President Moon views the prosecution organization as having the nature of hyenas. Because of that, you are undergoing surgery." Calling it self-inflicted, he urged, "From now on, don't just talk; truly become the people's prosecution."
